The Man, The Myth, The Legend

ree

In the month of April in the year of 2000s, Su Casa Fresh Mexican Grill opened. The man at the head of it all was Jose Zermeno, a man with lots of experience in the construction business but a passion for making Mexican Food. This passion is was lead the five-foot, six-inch native of Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco to invest in his dream of owning his own restaurant. Jose was known by friends and family as a man that loved to cook authentic Mexican food with his own flair to it. Though Jose never got higher education, he had a dream, and with years of saving and the help of other investors, his dream came true. On the day of the grand opening Jose was there hours before opening to hours after closing, I personally remember it as it was just yesterday. My Dad, Jose was running around like a chicken with his head cut off making sure everything was just right. If you know anything about Jose is that he love to make sure his customers are satisfied with his food. On yelp and restaurantji, Su Casa has an average of four and a half stars with very good reviews.

The Taco

Now some of you are probably wondering well what does this have to do with Tacos, well this restaurant got a very good rep till about 2010 for having some of the best fish tacos in the City of Santa Barbara. Jose wanted to make sure that Tacos were on the menu, though he created the best recipe for his fish tacos. Just Like every other taco, his comes standard with a corn tortilla but what made his taco special was the sauce that came in the taco with the fried tilapia fish and the toppings of cabbage and pico de gallo. When asked about what he puts in the sauce his response was “one day you’ll find out…”
