El Bueno Mexican Grill

One day I was driving down Main Street, I saw a place in the same shopping center as Lin’s called El Bueno. I thought to myself well there's another Mexican restaurant in cedar city. So what did I do next I went in of course to try their tacos. Being the food critic I am, I got one of each taco, pollo, asada, adobada, and birria. These tacos were authentic in the sense that they definitely did not taste like Tex-Mex tacos and had a very good marination of meat. The taco that I went back for seconds was the quessabirria taco. The tortillas were glazed with oil to give it a true Mexican taco feel. When it came to the salsas they offered there I would give them an average score of 5 out of 10. Now if you're more about the taste of the taco over the salsa this place is the place for your next Taco Tuesday here in Cedar.
Rita’s Taco Shops

Rita's is a taco shop that is located down the street from where El Bueno is and it's very good competition. The establishment is more of a fast food place with outdoor seating and a drive through. Now let's break down the taco into parts, the tortilla, meat and the toppings. The tortilla is more of a regular tortilla taste without the drizzle of oil, so it doesn't taste as authentic as a Mexican taco. The meat is overall very average, although their asada is the best in town. Their toppings are what hit the spot, the salsa I would recommend is their avocado salsa. If you are in the mood for an asada taco I would recommend you get it from Ritas, and make sure to add the avocado salsa.
Tacos El Jefe

Tacos El Jefe, I learned about this place through word of mouth, when I first came into town I had asked multiple people for the best Mexican restaurant in town, and by best I meant authentic. Everyone responded with Tacos El Jefe. After eating there almost every week I can say this place is up there for tacos in Cedar City. Their best taco is adobada but you have to go on a weekend as they make this meat the original way. Their salsa is up there being the best in town. So if you're more of a salsa person this would highly recommend this place and if you're looking for some good adobada tacos on a weekend this place is a must!
